Analysis of the Prospects of China's Plastic Mold Industry from 2018 to 2023

【 Abstract 】

The downstream application demands for plastic molds in China are mainly concentrated in industries such as automobiles, home appliances,

consumer electronics, OA equipment, construction materials, motorcycles, and medical consumables. Among them, the automotive and consumer

electronics industries have the highest demand for plastic molds, accounting for approximately 50% of the total demand in total. In recent years,

driven by high technology and the application demands of pillar industries, China's plastic mold industry has formed a huge industrial chain,

ranging from upstream raw and auxiliary materials industries and processing and testing equipment to downstream major application industries such as machinery,

automobiles, motorcycles, home appliances, electronic communications, and construction materials. The development of plastic molds has been significant

In recent years, driven by high technology and the application demands of pillar industries, China's plastic mold industry has formed a huge industrial chain,

ranging from upstream raw and auxiliary materials industries and processing and testing equipment to downstream major application industries such as machinery,

automobiles, motorcycles, home appliances, electronic communications, and construction materials. The development of plastic molds is full of vitality.

At present, the application of plastic products is becoming increasingly widespread, providing a broad market for plastic molds and at the same time putting

forward higher requirements for molds. Large-scale, high-precision and multi-functional composite molds will be favored.

Meanwhile, industries such as construction, home appliances, and automobiles all have a large demand for plastics. It is estimated that the automotive and

motorcycle industries alone require over 10 billion yuan worth of molds every year.

From the overall supply situation of China's plastic mold industry, the supply capacity of the industry has been continuously improving from 2010 to 2016,

but the growth rate has fluctuated greatly. According to the data released by Qianzhan Industry Research Institute in its "Analysis Report on the Development

Prospect Forecast and Transformation and Upgrading of the Plastic Mold Industry", the total industrial output value of the plastic mold industry reached

129.159 billion yuan in 2016, an increase of 7.47% compared with the same period of the previous year.

From 2010 to 2016, the sales revenue of China's plastic mold industry showed a growth trend, but the growth rate fluctuated and declined. In 2015,

the plastic mold industry in China achieved sales revenue of 114.93 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year growth of 0.98%.

The sales revenue in 2016 was 119.75 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year growth of 4.19%.

Since 2010, the production and sales ratio of China's plastic mold industry has shown a fluctuating trend. In 2013, the industry's production and

sales ratio was 103.1%, indicating a situation of insufficient supply. In the past three years, the production and sales rate of China's plastic mold industry

has remained above 90%. Generally speaking, the production and sales situation of China's plastic mold industry is good, but there is still room for improvement.

Trend Chart of Production and Sales rate changes in the National plastic Mold Industry from 2010 to 2016

The current trading market of the plastic mold industry in our country is developing very rapidly, showing an annual growth rate of 15% to 20%.

The advent of Industry 4.0 in 2015 will push the development of China's plastic mold industry to a new height. According to a conservative estimate,

with a growth rate of 13%, the sales revenue of China's plastic mold industry is expected to reach approximately 135.7 billion yuan by 2018. By 2023,

the sales revenue of China's plastic mold industry will approach 228.1 billion yuan.
